📝 Overview
YouTube NewFronts is one of the year’s most high-stakes digital media showcases, spotlighting the platform’s latest creator content, innovations, and advertising opportunities. The 2025 edition was streamed live to a global audience of advertisers, press, and stakeholders. I was brought in as the A1 by First Agency to mix the broadcast stream.
🎧 Behind the Work
Working from ACR, I mixed on a Lawo MC²36 console with Waves SoundGrid integration for dynamic processing and low-latency effects. The job required precise transitions between live presenters, video playback, audience reactions, and remote feeds — all under broadcast conditions with no room for error.
I collaborated closely with the Encoding/Streaming Operator (ESO) to ensure a seamless connection between the live mix and the outbound stream, maintaining signal integrity and timing across platforms. My workflow emphasized adaptability and redundancy, with custom show files and routing built for real-time problem-solving. In the days leading up to the show, I participated in rehearsals, tech checks, line testing, and fast-turn revisions — serving as both mixer and comms bridge between departments.
