Jacob Collier

While working at Concord Music Group, I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate multiple times with Jacob Collier and his team, including systems engineer Ben Bloomberg and a range of talented writing collaborators. During the ambitious process of creating four albums simultaneously, Jacob’s creative energy was unmatched. My role was to keep sessions running smoothly, anticipating his next moves so the music never had to stop.

Jacob worked on a custom-built Hackintosh by Ben, running a heavily modified Logic Pro setup capable of handling exponentially more tracks than the standard DAW. His lockout sessions often involved me retrofitting Pro Tools HD cards into his system to push the technical limits even further. I also curated an array of unique instruments and sound toys, always looking for ways to spark inspiration in the studio.
